The NC General Assembly passed the Bipartisan Elections Act of 2020 (H1169)

This legislation secures critical federal funding for State and County Boards of Elections, which will be used to hire sufficient poll workers and keep polling locations clean and safe. It will allow vote by mail with one witness (instead of two or a notary public) and allow you to request an absentee ballot via a new online portal. The bill will help make sure everyone is able to exercise their right to vote this year, without risking exposure or spreading the coronavirus.
