Grubb Properties has published its second annual State of the Young Renter Survey that showed nearly three-fourths of renters value community connectedness. Connections with neighbors was important to 72% of renters, according to the survey, which had 1,000 respondents aged 22-35.

Based on their current rental situations, roughly half (56%) of renters reported positive impacts on their personal well-being; 77% are satisfied with their current rental situation. Being green is vital to the younger generation as 82% of renters said it was an important factor in deciding their next apartment home.
