The Second Draft of the Charlotte Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) Has Been Released!

Many of the 1,200+ public comments from the first UDO draft have been incorporated into the second draft UDO, also referred to as the public hearing draft, which is now available for public review. Read the second draft UDO here.

What Can You Expect in the Second Draft?

Two types of changes have been incorporated into the second draft UDO: technical revisions and changes based on community feedback. To help better understand the second draft, city Planning Staff developed a key changes resource document to guide you in your review. This document includes:
