GCAA Government Affairs Committee Submits Feedback to the City of Charlotte on the Draft 2040 Comprehensive Plan

The Government Affairs Committee submitted feedback to the City of Charlotte on its 320-page Draft 2040 Plan.  The feedback focused on policy goals and action items that would impact the multifamily housing industry.  Each goal and action item were evaluated through the lens of whether it helps or hinders the development and/or construction of affordable housing or adds to the cost of development. The Government Affairs Committee encouraged the Planning Department to conduct a cost/benefit analysis for each housing related goal/policy/initiative proposed. To review the feedback, click here.
