Charlotte Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) Adoption Draft Released!

The UDO adoption draft was released on August 15th in advance of the City Council vote on August 22, 2022. The UDO adoption draft incorporates the Planning Committee's recommended changes to the UDO public hearing draft. A summary of these changes, and answers to other frequently asked questions can be found at charlotteudo.org.

Also released were the Charlotte Streets Map and Charlotte Streets Manual which are technical documents that support several regulations in the UDO. The Charlotte Streets Manual includes information on street classifications and cross-sections, access management and driveway design, and the Comprehensive Transportation Review guidelines for development projects.
