Bond Questions on the November 8, 2022 Ballot

Charlotte and Gastonia will have bond questions on the ballot pertaining to transportation, housing, and other infrastructure related matters on the November 8th General Election Ballot.

The City of Charlotte voters will vote on a $226 million bond package that will upgrade and enhance streets, build housing for low-to moderate-income individuals and families, and improve infrastructure in the city’s older neighborhoods and emerging high-growth areas. Here is what makes up the $226M package: streets - $146.2 million, housing - $50 million, and neighborhoods - $29.8 million. For additional information, visit this link.

City of Gastonia residents will vote on a $75 million Transportation General Obligation Bond Referendum. Proposed projects include street and road repairs, pedestrian walkways (sidewalks), street resurfacing, utility relocations, street intersection improvements, and street light improvements.
