GCAA Staff

Executive Director - Kim Graham
Kim joined the GCAA in December 2018 and we are thrilled to have her! In this new role she will be charged with the legislative, educational and informational activities of the Association, be the principal spokesperson before the media, elected officials, and the GCAA Membership and will implement the objectives of the GCAA Board of Directors. Previously she was the Senior VP of Outreach and Fund Development for Charlotte Mecklenburg Housing Partnership, Inc. (CMHP). Kim directed the organization’s philanthropic efforts, corporate communications and broad-based community initiatives including faith-based and arts collaboratives, resident leadership development and neighborhood branding activities. Graham has served as project lead for more than $3.25 million in community stabilization grants to benefit neighborhoods in the Statesville Avenue Corridor. She also coordinated critical partnerships with national and local organizations including NeighborWorks America® and the McColl Center for Art + Innovation. These partnerships have resulted in the first environmental art installations within the 98-acre BrightWalk campus, public art being slated for the Northwest Corridor and renovations to Anita Stroud and Druid Hills parks.

Prior to joining CMHP, Graham worked for the North Carolina Parent and Teachers Association serving as the Regional Program Manager for the Parent Involvement Initiative (PII). Graham assisted superintendents in Anson, Cabarrus and Mecklenburg counties in developing, implementing and evaluating research-based programs. The program received national acclaim from the Forum for Youth Investment as well as support from lawmakers in the NC General Assembly for four budget cycles.

A graduate of Johnson C. Smith University, Graham holds a bachelor of arts in English and also studied public policy abroad as both a Woodrow Wilson and Carnegie Mellon Fellow. She holds a master of public administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a concentration in urban management and policy. Graham is a member of the International City/County Managers Association and the National Forum for Black Public Administrators.

Financial & Membership Manager - Fran Petzold
Having initially served as the GCAA’s part-time administrative assistant, Fran was promoted to Membership Services Coordinator in September, 2005, and to Director of Operations in June, 2007. In her present role as Financial and Membership Manger, Fran oversees all the accounting functions of both the GCAA and the GCAA Education Foundation, including invoicing, accounts receivable and payable, and more. She also provides senior member service support, serves as staff liaison to the Outreach and Membership Committees, and manages the forms world for GCAA. Fran’s previous experience includes a real estate evaluation and accounting position with Meineke Car Care Specialists and customer service provider at the YMCA. 

Office and Events Manager - Pat Dorcy
Pat joined the GCAA staff in October of 2005 and now serves as Office & Events Manager,  which entails a wide array of responsibilities. She coordinates the organizational details of the Association’s membership meetings and seminars, is staff liaison for the Programs & Bus Tour Committee, and manages inter-office matters such as HR  and payroll.  Pat’s previous career was in the human resources field and she holds a B.A. degree in English from the State University of New York at Geneseo. Pat and her husband Ken are originally from New York and have raised their three children here in Charlotte. She enjoys outdoor activities,  travel and  most of all, time with family.

Government Affairs Manager - Bryan Holladay
Bryan joined the GCAA team September 2013 as  the Government Affairs Manager. His efforts focus on forming and maintaining viable working relationships with key elected and appointed government officials. Bryan keeps these leaders aware of GCAA members’ interests and concerns in legislative and regulatory arenas. Voter registration, city planning/zoning, and inspections issues are some areas of immediate concern. Bryan holds a B.A. degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Colorado Business School; his previous experience includes employment in the areas of Human Resources, Public and Media Relations, and Government Affairs. Bryan is coming to grips with being “old” now having 3 kids with double digit ages. On weekends Bryan is often over his head in tackling some DIYS home project or watching sports on TV. 

Communications and Marketing Manager  Erica Carter
Erica joined the staff in December of 2016. She is charged with handling all of the GCAA’s publications, marketing, and digital communications projects, including the GCAA website, the Apartment Times magazine, marketing collateral, broadcast email, and social media. Erica’s background experience includes graphic design and digital marketing for the National MS Society along with marketing and communication for a National Franchise. She holds her B.A. degree in Communication from East Carolina University and an Associates Degree in Graphic Design. Erica is always planning her next adventure.
  Event Planner- Stacie Man
Stacie originally worked at the GCAA from 2013-2014 where she served as the Administrative Assistant. Returning to us in April of 2017, she is the GCAA Event Planner, her responsibilities include assisting and planning a wide variety of GCAA Events such as: the Annual Trade Show, Executive Dinner Meeting, and Annual Charity Golf Tournament to name a few. She serves as the Staff Liaison to the Products and Service Council and their sub-committees. Stacie holds a B.A. degree in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Stacie and her husband Andy love to travel, try new restaurants and go see musicals during their free time. 
  Career Development Manager-Daniel Sircy
Daniel is from Nashville, Tennessee and prior to moving to North Carolina, he was the Director of Education and Events at the Greater Nashville Apartment Association from Feb 2013 to Aug 2017. His responsibilities at the GCAA in the full-time position of Career Development Manager will include overseeing and coordinating all NAAEI Professional Credential programs (NALP, CAM, CAMT, CAPS, and CAS) as well as promoting apartment management as a career to area high school, college, and university students. Daniel will also serve as staff liaison to the Education Advisory Council, the GCAA Education Foundation, GCAA Ambassador Program and the Young Apartment Professionals Committee. Daniel and his partner Jeremy enjoy being outdoors, boating, traveling, biking and spending time with their fur children, Asher, BamBam, Parker and Zoey.   Member Services Coordinator  Catherine Rojas
Catherine joined the GCAA staff team as Part-time Member Services Coordinator in January 2017, where she will provide seminar, database, membership, Board of Directors meeting, and Executive Director support. Catherine previously worked locally in the apartment industry as both a leasing consultant and assistant community manager for over 10 years. She moved to Charlotte from the New York City metropolitan area. Catherine enjoys spending her time with her boyfriend and their daughter, Eliana.
