Professional Bio
Kim Graham joined the Greater Charlotte Apartment Association on December 1, 2018. Graham previously served as Senior Vice President for Outreach & Fund Development with Charlotte Mecklenburg Housing Partnership (now DreamKey Partners) having primary oversight of CMHP's community engagement, marketing/communications and fund development functions raising the organization’s charitable contributions to historic levels. In her previous position as Vice President of Community Engagement for CMHP she led community revitalization and development efforts, faith-based and arts collaboratives, resident leadership development and neighborhood branding initiatives. She served as project manager for more than $1 million in community stabilization grants to benefit the Druid Hills neighborhood. Graham also had stints with United Way of Central Carolinas as their public policy manager and with the North Carolina PTA as the regional program manager for a state-funded education reform initiative. She also co-founded a training firm in 2005.
Prior to her nonprofit management roles, Graham worked in the private sector as a project manager with national public accounting firms while remaining actively involved in community issues. Graham has made numerous civic contributions in the Charlotte region including serving as President of the Mecklenburg PTA Council which provides governance to the more than 150 parent groups Charlotte-Mecklenburg. Graham currently co-chairs the City's Neighborhood Equity & Stabilization Commission and serves as Vice Chair of the Housing Collaborative Board of Directors. She has also served on the boards for the NC Business & Education Technology Alliance, Johnson C. Smith University, Charlotte's Neighborhood Matching Grants Program, and Arts & Science Council Basic Operating Grants Panel.
A Philadelphia native, Kim holds a Masters of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a B.A. from Johnson C. Smith University
