GCAA, REBIC and NARPM Send Letter to the Mecklenburg County Courts and Sheriff

The Greater Charlotte Apartment Association (GCAA), in collaboration with the National Association of Residential Property Managers – Charlotte Regional Chapter (NARPM) and the Real Estate & Building Industry Coalition (REBIC), sent a letter to The Hon. Judge Elizabeth Trosch, Sheriff Garry L. McFadden, and The Hon. Elisa Chinn Gary to address the courts regarding the multifamily industry’s concerns on how the Mecklenburg Courts have handled the filing of cases during and after the eviction moratoria. Collectively, we ask that the Courts stop the further extension of the moratoria through procedural delay. 

The GCAA Board of Directors was unanimous in its approval of this action. Attached is a copy of the letter that was sent on October 1, 2021 and which made the front page of the Charlotte Observer on Oct. 5, 2021.
