A Look At The Proposed FY25 Budget
Development of the Proposed City of Charlotte FY 2025 Budget included a thorough review of revenue and financial options to ensure that the use of available resources is maximized to serve the community while maintaining a good value to tax and rate payers and consistency with Council priorities. The total Proposed FY 2025 Budget is $4.17 billion. The proposed budget is comprised of the annual operating budget and the FY 2025 – 2029 Capital Investment Plan (CIP). The annual operating budget reflects day-to-day operations, while the CIP represents large capital outlays over a five-year time horizon.
A public hearing on the proposed budget is scheduled for 6:30 PM, or as soon as practicable thereafter, on Monday, May 13, 2024.
