Week 8 - The Household Pulse Survey Results for North Carolina

The Household Pulse Survey asks individuals about their experiences in terms of employment status, spending patterns, food security, housing, physical and mental health, access to health care, and educational disruption.  The data collected enables the Census Bureau to produce statistics at a state level that will provide insights with regard to how household experiences changed during the pandemic.

Week 8 (June 18 – June 23, 2020) indicated the following:

  • Loss in employment income – 48.3%
  • Expected loss in employment – 32%
  • Housing insecurity – 24.5%
