The U.S. Senate Approves a Bill to Make Daylight Saving Time Permanent

On March 16, 2022, the Senate unanimously passed a bill (S.623, the Sunshine Protection Act) that would make daylight saving time permanent across the U.S. beginning in 2023. It would mean no more shifting clocks twice a year. The bill still requires House approval and President Biden's signature to become law. We will continue to keep you updated on this bill.
