AANC Lease users: this is your unique opportunity to walk through the 2017 version of the document and its addenda (additional addenda are planned for introduction on a rolling basis during 2017). Many of the exciting new features of the lease resulted directly from your requests over the years.

Students will benefit from this direct interaction with the attorney who wrote the AANC Lease, Will Brownlee.

Please bring your questions, which will be answered throughout the seminar.

Your instructor will be attorney Will Brownlee, Executive Director & General Counsel for the Apartment Association of North Carolina. Will has practiced law for 19 years on behalf of landlords in North and South Carolina and has been active in the apartment industry for 21 years. Prior to his current position with AANC, Will founded two law firms whose attorneys continue to represent landlords and management companies throughout the Carolinas. Will has also served as a member of the AANC Board of Directors and as a member of Boards of Directors of two local apartment associations in North Carolina. Will also serves as the author and editor of the AANC Lease and AANC Legal Handbook, and he also serves the National Apartment Association as its local attorney for revisions and updates to its standard lease forms used in NC and SC. He is a graduate of The Citadel and NC Central School of Law. Will has taught NAAEI Designation courses for GCAA and several other apartment associations in North Carolina, has contributed articles to the Apartment Times magazine. Attendees of this seminar will find Will to be quite knowledgeable and exceptionally approachable.
