GCAA’s membership opportunitites include:

Direct Membership for Owner/Operators and their respective properties

Associate Membership for Vendors/Suppliers

Who would do these things for you, if not the GCAA?

  • Go to bat for you and the entire apartment industry before City Council, County Commissioners, and the State Legislature?
  • Fight for coherent, fair, and efficient government rules in areas such as solid waste fees, housing and building codes, utility rules, and landlord-tenant law?
  • Be involved and connected with all the public elected and appointed officials at the local, state, and national level who might make proposals that affect you?
  • Pre-empt Rent Control?
  • Offer positive media perspectives on fire safety, security, public health, and our industry’s practices in dealing with apartment residents?
  • Vigilantly fight for the best possible legislative climate for developing and operating multi-family rental housing?
  • Provide updated legal forms and the Legal Handbook which help you comply with all the nuances of state law and become a better apartment professional?
  • Stage quality, timely, and useful educational offerings to keep you abreast of industry innovations?
  • Disseminate industry information, including government requirements and market research, via a variety of communications modes? How else would you even learn of what you are supposed to comply with?
  • Assist owners and managers with their questions about property operations?
  • Provide forums via which you and your industry peers can both address and solve common problems?
  • Save your company significantly more dollars in reduced fees and requirements than you pay to the association in membership dues?

The answer is… NO ONE WOULD!

That’s why membership in your industry trade association is a form of “enlightened self-interest” — helping your colleagues while helping yourself.
