Calendar Year 2014 saw 15,888 net migrants into Mecklenburg County (74,706 moving in and 58,818 moving out). What will Calendar Year 2015 look like? FIND OUT AT THIS SYMPOSIUM!

Come hear the updated statistics about migration flows into and out of Mecklenburg and surrounding counties within the Charlotte region. This program coincides with the release of Calendar Year 2015 American Community Survey data, including the volume of migration by characteristics such as age, location, income, employment, and family/household size. Discussion topics will include the housing choices of migrants and information on comparable urban areas. If you want to learn more about the changing face of population in the Charlotte region, come to this program!

Rebecca Tippett, PhD, is Director of Carolina Demography at the UNC-Chapel Hill Carolina Population Center, where she translates demographic and economic data into specific, usable information and knowledge for use in decision-making, evaluation, and policy. She regularly writes and presents about the impact of demographic and social trends in North Carolina. View  a preview of Rebecca here, where she speaks on Triangle-area demographics.
